Editorial Board Changes/ Editorial Transparency Statement on Editor-in-Chief Appointment

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a dynamic and forward-looking Editorial Board, periodic updates to its membership are essential. During this cycle, several long-serving members have concluded their terms, and new colleagues have joined us to help guide the Journal’s future development.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the departing members for their valuable service and longstanding contributions. Their dedication has strengthened the Journal in many ways. The following colleagues have stepped down from the Board to allow for the inclusion of new members.

 

The journal wishes to provide a clear and transparent statement regarding the publication record of Professor Dr. Ali Rajih Al-Khatib in relation to his appointment as Editor-in-Chief (EiC).

Dr. Ali Rajih Al-Khatib authored several articles in this journal prior to assuming the EiC role on 8 October 2025. All such manuscripts were submitted, peer-reviewed, accepted, and scheduled for publication before this appointment. At no time did Dr. Ali Rajih Al-Khatib participate in the editorial handling or decision-making processes for these manuscripts.

In accordance with the journal’s conflict-of-interest and editorial independence policies, the Editor-in-Chief does not submit manuscripts to the journal during their term. This statement affirms the journal’s commitment to transparency, ethical publishing standards, and the integrity of the peer-review process.

Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies

Dear authors/ colleagues,

With the rise of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies, which are expected to be increasingly used by content creators.

From 1 June 2025, authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process of the submitted manuscript by adding a statement at the end of their manuscript. The statement should be placed in a new section entitled "Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies." Please go to the Guide for authors.
