Digital Preservation Policy

AL-Rafidain Dental Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of its scholarly content. To safeguard the scholarly record, the journal participates in Portico, a trusted digital preservation service that provides a secure and independent dark archive for electronic scholarly publications.

All journal content published through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, including articles, metadata, and associated files, is regularly deposited in Portico. In the event of a defined trigger, such as publisher cessation or catastrophic platform failure, Portico ensures continued access to the preserved content for the scholarly community.

This policy reflects the journal’s adherence to international best practices in scholarly publishing and aligns with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the archiving requirements of major indexing databases, including Scopus.
